Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ground meat — Use lean ground beef or goat meat for a healthier option. Make sure the meat is well-seasoned and mixed with the spices for maximum flavor.
- Puff pastry — Thaw the puff pastry according to the package instructions before using. If you prefer a lighter option, you can use phyllo dough instead.
Tips & Tricks
- For an extra kick of heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sausage mixture.
- Serve the sausage rolls with a tangy tomato chutney or a spicy dipping sauce for added flavor.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of chili powder in the sausage mixture.
- Make sure to seal the edges of the pastry tightly to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
- These sausage rolls can be prepared in advance and frozen. Simply bake them from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
