Treat your ingredients with care...
- Flour — Use all-purpose flour for the best results. Bread flour can also be used for a slightly chewier texture.
- Instant yeast — Make sure your yeast is fresh and active to ensure proper rising of the dough.
- Dried dill and thyme — If you prefer fresh herbs, you can substitute them for dried ones. Use 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs for every teaspoon of dried herbs.
- Sesame seeds — Feel free to omit sesame seeds if you prefer a plain Bublik.
Tips & Tricks
- For a sweeter version, you can add a tablespoon of honey or sugar to the dough.
- Experiment with different herbs and spices to customize the flavor of your Bubliks.
- Serve Bubliks warm with butter or cream cheese for a delicious treat.
- If you prefer a softer crust, brush the Bubliks with melted butter after baking.
