The original dish's ingredients are replaced with tropical fruits such as pineapple and papaya, along with local Vanuatuan vegetables like taro leaves and breadfruit. The traditional Korean seasonings are substituted with Vanuatuan spices and herbs, such as turmeric and lemongrass, to infuse the roll with a distinct island taste.
