  8. 8.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve the Itamemono over cooked rice.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Chicken breast — To ensure tender and juicy chicken, slice it thinly against the grain.
  • Ginger — Use a microplane or fine grater to grate the ginger for a smooth texture in the sauce.
  • Dashi broth — If you can't find dashi broth, you can substitute it with chicken or vegetable broth for a similar flavor profile.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute the chicken with tofu or tempeh.
  • Customize the vegetables according to your preference and seasonal availability.
  • Add a sprinkle of sesame seeds for extra flavor and crunch.
  • Serve Itamemono with a side of pickled ginger or a drizzle of sriracha for added zing.
  • Make a double batch of the sauce and store it in the refrigerator for future stir-fry dishes.

Serving advice

Serve the Itamemono over a bed of steamed rice for a complete and satisfying meal. Garnish with additional sliced green onions for a pop of color and freshness.
