1.Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

-
7.Garnish with toasted sesame seeds or coconut flakes for added texture and flavor.
Treat your ingredients with care...
- Glutinous rice — Make sure to rinse the rice thoroughly to remove excess starch before soaking. Soaking the rice for at least 4 hours or overnight will ensure it becomes sticky when cooked.
- Mangoes — Choose ripe mangoes that are sweet and juicy for the best flavor. You can also try using different varieties of mangoes to add variety to the dish.
Tips & Tricks
- To enhance the flavor of the coconut milk, you can add pandan leaves or pandan extract while heating it.
- For a creamier texture, you can substitute half of the coconut milk with coconut cream.
- If you prefer a sweeter dessert, you can increase the amount of sugar in the coconut milk mixture.
- To make the dish more visually appealing, you can shape the sticky rice into small balls or use a mold before serving.
- Leftover sticky mango rice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat it in a steamer or microwave before serving.
Serving advice
Serve the Sticky Mango Rice warm or at room temperature for the best taste and texture. It can be enjoyed as a dessert or a sweet snack.
Presentation advice
To make the dish visually appealing, arrange the sliced mangoes on top of the sticky rice in an attractive pattern. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds or coconut flakes over the mangoes for an added touch of elegance.
