Treat your ingredients with care...
- Fresh cream — Use full-fat fresh cream for the best results. Avoid using cream with additives or stabilizers.
- Condensed milk — If you prefer a less sweet version, reduce the amount of condensed milk slightly.
- Saffron strands — Soak the saffron strands in a tablespoon of warm milk for a few minutes before adding them to the mixture. This helps release their vibrant color and aroma.
Tips & Tricks
- To enhance the flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon powder along with the cardamom.
- For a festive touch, roll the laddus in desiccated coconut or edible silver foil before garnishing with nuts.
- If the mixture becomes too thick while cooking, add a tablespoon of milk to adjust the consistency.
- Store the laddus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
