Treat your ingredients with care...
- Ghee — Use high-quality ghee for the best flavor. If unavailable, you can substitute it with clarified butter or a plant-based ghee substitute.
- Jaggery — Ensure that the jaggery is finely grated to aid in its melting process and even distribution throughout the mixture.
- Wheat flour — Roast the wheat flour on low heat to prevent it from burning and to achieve a golden color.
Tips & Tricks
- For a variation, you can add a tablespoon of desiccated coconut to the mixture for a subtle tropical twist.
- To enhance the aroma, lightly toast the chopped nuts before garnishing the Sukhdi.
- If the mixture feels too dry, add a tablespoon of warm milk to bind it together.
Serving advice
Serve Sukhdi as a delightful after-meal dessert or enjoy it with a cup of masala chai for a perfect tea-time treat. It can also be packed as a sweet snack for picnics or road trips.
Presentation advice
Arrange the diamond-shaped Sukhdi pieces on a decorative platter, garnished with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and a few whole nuts. This will add an elegant touch to the presentation.
