Preparation

1.Wash the broken wheat and lentils under running water until the water runs clear. Soak them in water for 30 minutes, then drain.

2.Heat ghee in a large pot over medium heat. Add the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and cloves. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.

3.Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown.

4.Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for another minute.

5.Add the diced chicken and cook until it turns white.

6.Add the soaked broken wheat and lentils to the pot. Stir well to combine.

7.Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, smoked paprika, and garam masala. Mix well.

8.Pour in the chicken broth and season with salt. Stir to combine.

9.Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the lentils and wheat are cooked and the mixture has thickened.

10.Once cooked, use a hand blender or a masher to blend the mixture to a smooth consistency.
