Treat your ingredients with care...
- Fermented rice — If you cannot find fermented rice, you can make your own by soaking regular rice in water overnight and allowing it to ferment at room temperature for 24-48 hours. The longer the fermentation, the tangier the funkaso pancakes will be.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier sauce, add more chili powder or a chopped chili pepper.
- You can add diced vegetables such as carrots or zucchini to the spiced tomato sauce for extra flavor and texture.
- Serve the funkaso pancakes warm for the best taste and texture.
- If you prefer a thinner sauce, you can add a little water or vegetable broth while simmering.
