Preparation

1.In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and honey. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

2.Add the ground almonds, cinnamon, and cloves to the saucepan. Stir continuously to prevent lumps from forming.

3.Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. This should take about 20-25 minutes.

4.Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the orange blossom water.

5.Grease a square baking dish and pour the mixture into it. Smooth the surface with a spatula.

6.While the mixture is still warm, press whole almonds into the top in a decorative pattern.
