Ingredients
In this California adaptation, we incorporate the grilling technique and use a variety of seasonal vegetables commonly found in California cuisine. The marinade is also enhanced with the addition of lemon zest to brighten the flavors and complement the grilled elements. Preparation

1.In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, lemon zest, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

2.Place the rabbit pieces in a large dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

3.Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

4.Remove the rabbit from the marinade and shake off any excess. Reserve the marinade for basting.

5.Grill the rabbit pieces for about 10-12 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely charred. Baste with the reserved marinade occasionally during grilling.

6.While the rabbit is grilling, prepare the seasonal vegetables by brushing them with olive oil and seasoning with salt and pepper. Grill the vegetables until tender and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes.
