Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Octopus — Make sure to clean the octopus thoroughly before cooking to remove any residual sand or debris.
  • Gochujang — Adjust the amount of gochujang according to your spice preference. Add more for extra heat or reduce for a milder flavor.
  • Sesame oil — Use toasted sesame oil for a more intense nutty flavor.

Tips & Tricks

  • If you prefer a spicier dish, add a small amount of Korean red pepper flakes (gochugaru) to the marinade.
  • For a touch of sweetness, you can add a tablespoon of honey or brown sugar to the marinade.
  • Serve the Spicy Stir-Fried Octopus with steamed rice and a side of kimchi for a complete Korean meal.
  • If octopus is not readily available, you can substitute it with squid or shrimp.
  • Adjust the cooking time depending on the size and tenderness of the octopus. Cook until it is just tender and not overcooked.
