Treat your ingredients with care...
- Flour — Use all-purpose flour for the best results. Bread flour can be used as a substitute, but it may result in a slightly denser bread.
- Yeast — Make sure your yeast is fresh and active to ensure proper rising of the dough.
- Butter — Use unsalted butter to have better control over the salt content in the recipe.
- Milk — Warm the milk to around 37°C (98°F) to activate the yeast properly.
Tips & Tricks
- For a sweeter bread, you can increase the amount of sugar in the dough.
- Experiment with different toppings such as cinnamon sugar or grated cheese for added flavor.
- If the bread browns too quickly in the oven, cover it loosely with aluminum foil to prevent burning.
- Serve the Pan Trenza Colombiano warm with a spread of butter for a delicious treat.
- Leftover bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for later use.
Serving advice
Serve the Pan Trenza Colombiano as a centerpiece on your breakfast or brunch table. Slice it and enjoy it on its own, or pair it with your favorite spreads, cheeses, or cold cuts.
Presentation advice
To enhance the presentation, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of the bread just before serving. This will add a touch of elegance and make it even more visually appealing.
