The original dish uses herring as the main fish, while we incorporate smoked fish, which adds a distinct smoky flavor to the filling. Additionally, we infuse the filling with Chechen herbs and spices to create a unique taste profile that reflects the flavors of Chechen cuisine. 1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt for the flatbread. Gradually add warm water and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

2.In a separate bowl, mix together the flaked smoked fish, chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh dill, fresh parsley, ground black pepper, paprika, and salt to taste. Set aside.

3.Divide the rested dough into small balls. Roll out each ball into a thin circle.

4.Place a spoonful of the smoked fish filling onto one half of the rolled-out dough circle. Fold the other half over the filling and press the edges to seal.

5.Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brush it with vegetable oil. Cook the stuffed flatbread on both sides until golden brown and crispy.

6.Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
