Ingredients
In this Chechen adaptation of Tokneneng, we incorporate Chechen flavors and ingredients to give the dish a distinct twist. The traditional Filipino Tokneneng is typically made with a simple batter and served with a vinegar-based dipping sauce. However, in this Chechen-style version, we stuff the eggs with a flavorful mixture of ground beef, onions, and spices, adding depth and richness to the dish. The fritters are also deep-fried to achieve a crispy texture, which is different from the original Filipino version. We alse have the original recipe for Tokneneng, so you can check it out.
