Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 350F (180C).

2.Grease a 9-inch (23cm) cake pan.

3.In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water until well combined.

4.Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

5.Let the cake cool completely.

6.Spread the apricot jam over the top of the cake.

7.Heat the chocolate frosting in the microwave for 30 seconds, or until it is melted and smooth.

8.Pour the melted chocolate frosting over the top of the cake, spreading it evenly.

9.Let the cake cool for 10-15 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
