Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Beaten Rice (Chiura) — Make sure to rinse the beaten rice thoroughly to remove any impurities before soaking it in water.
  • Black Soybeans (Bodi) — Soak the soybeans overnight to ensure they become tender during cooking.
  • Roasted Meat — Marinate the meat with a blend of spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, and chili powder for enhanced flavor.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a vegetarian version, replace the roasted meat with grilled tofu or paneer.
  • Customize the level of spiciness by adjusting the amount of chili powder in the condiments.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice to the tomato achar for an extra tangy flavor.
  • Serve Samay Baji with a side of fresh cucumber slices to refresh the palate.
  • Experiment with different chutneys like mint chutney or tamarind chutney for additional flavor variations.
