Preparation

  1. 1.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, yogurt, baking powder, salt, and oil. Knead the mixture into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. 2.
In a separate pan, heat oil and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown. Add minced meat, garlic, ginger paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the meat is fully cooked and the flavors are well combined. Set aside to cool.
  3. 3.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  4. 4.
Divide the dough into two equal portions. Roll out one portion into a circle of about 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. 5.
Place the cooked meat filling on one half of the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. 6.
Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and seal the edges by pressing them together.
  7. 7.
Transfer the pogača onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  8. 8.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the pogača turns golden brown.
  9. 9.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
