Preparation

1.Wash the rice and dal separately, then soak them in water for 30 minutes.

2.In a pressure cooker, heat ghee and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add cumin seeds and curry leaves.

3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Then, add tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.

4.Add the mixed vegetables, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.

5.Drain the soaked rice and dal, and add them to the pressure cooker. Mix well.

6.Add tamarind pulp, Bisi Bele Bath masala powder, and 4 cups of water. Stir everything together.

7.Close the pressure cooker and cook on medium heat for 3-4 whistles.

8.Once the pressure releases naturally, open the cooker and give the Bisi Bele Bath a gentle stir.

9.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
