Additionally, we have incorporated local spices and flavors to enhance the taste and cater to the Burundian palate. Preparation

1.Preheat your oven to 80°C (175°F).

2.Lay the beef slices on a baking sheet and season them with salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

3.Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the beef slices air-dry for 4-6 hours, or until they become dry and slightly crispy.

4.Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

5.Fry the dried beef slices in batches until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

6.Remove the fried borts from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

7.Allow the borts to cool before serving.
