Ingredients

In this Mongolian adaptation of the chip butty, we infuse the sandwich with Mongolian flavors by using a unique blend of spices. The original British chip butty typically consists of chips (fries) and bread, while our Mongolian-style version adds a layer of complexity with the addition of Mongolian spices. This adaptation aims to bring the rich and bold flavors of Mongolian cuisine to the classic chip butty, creating a fusion dish that is both familiar and exciting. We alse have the original recipe for Chip Butty, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Potatoes — Make sure to cut the potatoes into thick fries to ensure a crispy texture. Soaking the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking can help remove excess starch and result in crispier fries.

Tips & Tricks

  • For an extra kick of flavor, sprinkle some chili powder or cayenne pepper on the potato fries before baking.
  • Experiment with different bread types such as whole wheat, sourdough, or rye to add variety to your sandwich.
  • Add a slice of cheese or a dollop of mayonnaise for a creamy twist.

Serving advice
