Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Ground beef — Use lean ground beef for a healthier option. Make sure the beef is well-drained before using it in the recipe.
  • Coriander seeds — Toast the coriander seeds in a dry pan for a few minutes to enhance their flavor before crushing them.
  • Cumin seeds — Similarly, toasting the cumin seeds before crushing them will release their aroma and add depth to the dish.
  • Fresh herbs — Chop the cilantro and mint leaves finely to distribute their flavors evenly throughout the kababs.

Tips & Tricks

  • For an extra kick of heat, add more red chili flakes or finely chopped green chilies to the mixture.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of red chili flakes and green chilies.
  • Serve the Chapli Kababs with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a tangy twist.
  • To make the kababs healthier, you can bake them in the oven instead of frying. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • If you don't have access to fresh tomatoes, you can use tomato paste or canned diced tomatoes as a substitute.

Serving advice

Serve the Chapli Kababs hot with naan bread, raita (yogurt sauce), and a side of salad. You can also wrap them in a warm tortilla or pita bread for a delicious kabab wrap.

Presentation advice

Arrange the Chapli Kababs on a platter, garnish with fresh cilantro leaves, and serve with a wedge of lemon for an appealing presentation. Serve the accompanying naan bread, raita, and salad in separate bowls for a visually pleasing spread.
