Treat your ingredients with care...
- Potatoes — Ensure that the boiled potatoes are well-mashed to achieve a smooth filling.
- Dabeli masala — If you don't have access to ready-made Dabeli masala, you can make your own by combining spices like coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and a pinch of cinnamon.
Tips & Tricks
- For an extra kick of spiciness, add finely chopped green chilies to the potato filling.
- If you prefer a sweeter taste, add a pinch of sugar to the potato filling.
- Customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of red chili powder and garlic chutney according to your preference.
- To make it more filling, you can add a layer of crispy fried onions to the Dabeli.
- If you can't find pomegranate seeds, you can substitute them with dried cranberries for a similar burst of sweetness.
Serving advice
Serve Dabeli hot and fresh, as it tastes best when the bun is still warm and crispy.
Presentation advice
To enhance the presentation, you can sprinkle some additional sev and pomegranate seeds on top of the Dabeli just before serving. This will add an extra pop of color and texture.
