Ingredients
In this Anguillan adaptation, the traditional Lithuanian daujenu namine duona is infused with Caribbean flavors. The original recipe's dense texture is lightened, and the bread gains a subtle sweetness and tropical aroma. Coconut milk replaces some of the water, adding richness and a hint of coconut flavor. Additionally, a blend of Caribbean spices, such as nutmeg and allspice, is incorporated to enhance the bread's unique taste.
