In this Hyderabadi adaptation, we infuse the dough with cardamom and saffron, which are commonly used in Hyderabadi cuisine. 1.In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and saffron strands. Let it sit for 5 minutes to infuse the milk with saffron flavor.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, ground cardamom, salt, and granulated sugar.

3.In a separate small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

4.Add the yeast mixture, saffron-infused milk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.

5.Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

6.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

7.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
