Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Beef stew meat — For a more tender result, choose a marbled cut of beef such as chuck or blade roast. You can also use pre-cut stew meat for convenience.
  • Heavy cream — If you prefer a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half or whole milk for the heavy cream. However, keep in mind that it will alter the richness and creaminess of the stew.

Tips & Tricks

  • For added depth of flavor, you can deglaze the pot with a splash of red wine after browning the beef.
  • If you prefer a thicker stew, you can mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with cold water and add it to the simmering stew, stirring until thickened.
  • Feel free to customize the stew by adding vegetables like mushrooms or peas for extra texture and flavor.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated the next day, allowing the flavors to meld even further.
  • Serve the stew with a side of crusty bread or over mashed potatoes for a complete and satisfying meal.
