Preparation

1.In a pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.

2.In the same pan, sauté the onion and garlic in the bacon fat until translucent.

3.In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes until smooth.

4.Add the cooked bacon, sautéed onion and garlic, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and flour to the mashed potatoes. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.

5.Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into dumplings.

6.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes or until they float to the surface.

7.Remove the dumplings from the water using a slotted spoon and serve them hot with lingonberry jam and melted butter.
