Treat your ingredients with care...
- Beef stew meat — For a more tender result, choose a cut of beef that is suitable for slow cooking, such as chuck or brisket.
- Allspice — If you don't have ground allspice, you can substitute it with a combination of ground cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
Tips & Tricks
- For a richer flavor, you can brown the meat in batches instead of all at once.
- If you prefer a thicker soup, you can mash some of the cooked vegetables with a fork or blend a portion of the soup before adding the cream.
- Serve the Swedish Meat Soup with a side of crusty bread for a complete meal.
Serving advice
Serve the Swedish Meat Soup hot in individual bowls. Garnish each serving with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a pop of color and added freshness. Accompany the soup with a slice of crusty bread or a Swedish rye crispbread for a satisfying meal.
Presentation advice
