Preparation

    In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely.

    In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with ½ cup of water until smooth and free of lumps.

    Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan while stirring continuously.
