1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, urad dal flour, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, chili powder, asafoetida, melted ghee, and salt.

4.Take a portion of the dough and shape it into a cylindrical log.

5.Place the dough log into a Murukku press or chakli maker with a star-shaped disc.

6.Press the dough onto a greased surface in a spiral or coil shape.

7.Carefully slide the shaped Murukku into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

8.Remove the fried Murukku from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
