Treat your ingredients with care...
- Pomeranian black beans — Soaking the beans overnight helps to reduce cooking time and ensures they cook evenly. Rinse the beans thoroughly before cooking to remove any impurities.
- Pomeranian spice blend — If you can't find a pre-made Pomeranian spice blend, you can make your own by combining equal parts caraway seeds, juniper berries, and marjoram. Grind the spices together using a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder for the best flavor.
Tips & Tricks
- For added flavor, you can sauté the rice in a little oil before cooking it.
- Serve the Pomeranian-style Moros y Cristianos with a dollop of sour cream or yogurt for a creamy touch.
- If you prefer a spicier dish, add a pinch of chili flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the beans while they are cooking.
