Ingredients
In this Finnish adaptation of Purini, we incorporate traditional Finnish ingredients and flavors to create a unique twist on the original South American dish. The original recipe typically uses ingredients like corn, beans, and chili peppers, which are commonly found in South American cuisine. However, in this Finnish version, we replace these ingredients with root vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, and turnips, which are staples in Finnish cooking. Additionally, we infuse the stew with aromatic herbs like dill and thyme, commonly used in Finnish cuisine, to enhance the flavors and add a touch of Nordic flair. We alse have the original recipe for Purini, so you can check it out.
