  • Salt: 0.1g

Preparation

  1. 1.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, ghee, and ground cardamom. Mix well until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  2. 2.
Gradually add water, a little at a time, and knead the dough until it comes together. The dough should be firm and smooth.
  3. 3.
Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a thin sheet, about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. 4.
Using a sharp knife or a cookie cutter, cut the rolled dough into diamond shapes or any desired shape.
  5. 5.
Heat oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully drop a few diamond-shaped dough pieces into the oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  6. 6.
Remove the fried biscuits from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  7. 7.
Repeat the frying process with the remaining dough.
  8. 8.
Allow the Crispy Cardamom Biscuits to cool completely before serving. Store them in an airtight container to maintain their crispiness.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Ghee — Make sure the ghee is at room temperature for easy mixing with the other ingredients.
