Ingredients
In this Sindhi adaptation of the traditional Indian Upperi, we incorporate the distinct flavors and spices of Sindhi cuisine. The original Upperi is typically seasoned with Indian spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric. However, in this Sindhi version, we enhance the heat by adding Sindhi masala, a blend of spices including red chili powder, garam masala, and amchur (dried mango powder). This gives the dish its characteristic fiery flavor, which sets it apart from the original. We alse have the original recipe for Upperi, so you can check it out.
