The spices are also adjusted to suit the Belarusian palate, incorporating flavors commonly found in Eastern European cuisine. Preparation

1.Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until they become translucent.

2.Add the beef cubes to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.

3.Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, cumin, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Cook for a minute to allow the spices to release their flavors.

4.Add the diced potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers to the pot. Pour enough water to cover the ingredients.

5.Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded together.

6.Remove the bay leaves and adjust the seasoning if needed.
