1.Shuck the corn and remove the silk. Cut the kernels off the cobs.

2.Place the corn kernels in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

3.In a large bowl, combine the corn puree, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

4.Take a corn husk and spread a thin layer of the corn mixture onto the center of the husk.

5.Fold the sides of the husk towards the center, enclosing the corn mixture. Tie the ends with a strip of soaked corn husk.

6.Repeat the process with the remaining corn mixture and husks.

7.Place the wrapped pamonhas in a steamer basket and steam for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the pamonhas are firm and cooked through.

8.Remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.
