Treat your ingredients with care...
- Rice noodles — Ensure that the noodles are soaked in warm water until they are soft but still slightly firm to the touch. Over-soaking can result in mushy noodles.
- Calamansi juice — If calamansi juice is not available, you can substitute it with a combination of lemon and lime juice in equal parts for a similar tangy flavor.
- Shrimp — To ensure the shrimp cooks evenly, make sure they are peeled and deveined before adding them to the dish.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of chili flakes or a chopped chili pepper to the dish.
- Customize the vegetable selection based on personal preference or seasonal availability.
- To make the dish more substantial, add additional protein such as tofu or sliced pork.
- If you prefer a vegetarian version, omit the chicken and shrimp and replace them with tofu or your favorite meat substitute.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Serving advice
