Treat your ingredients with care...
- Coconut milk — Shake the can well before using to ensure the cream and liquid are well combined.
- Arborio rice — Rinse the rice under cold water before cooking to remove excess starch and achieve a better texture.
- Italian sausage — Choose a high-quality sausage with a good balance of spices for the best flavor.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of chili flakes or add a dash of hot sauce.
- Experiment with different types of sausages, such as chorizo or spicy Italian, to vary the flavor profile.
- Stir the risotto gently to avoid breaking the rice grains and maintain a creamy consistency.
- If the risotto becomes too thick, add a little more warm broth or coconut milk to adjust the consistency.
- Leftover risotto can be transformed into delicious arancini by shaping it into balls, coating them in breadcrumbs, and frying until golden brown.
Serving advice
