Preparation

1.Boil the diced taro until tender, then drain and mash it until smooth.

2.In a separate bowl, mix together the minced pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, and salt.

3.Heat a small amount of oil in a pan and cook the pork mixture until browned. Remove from heat and let it cool.

4.Combine the mashed taro and cooked pork mixture, mixing well to form a smooth filling.

5.Take a spring roll wrapper and place a spoonful of the filling in the center. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with a bit of water.

7.Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or wok to 180°C (350°F).

8.Carefully place the dumplings in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.
