Ingredients

In this Guamanian adaptation of Ackee and Saltfish, we incorporate Guamanian flavors and ingredients to create a unique twist. The original Jamaican recipe is traditionally cooked with onions, tomatoes, and scotch bonnet peppers, but in this Guamanian version, we replace the scotch bonnet peppers with local hot peppers for a touch of heat. Additionally, we enhance the dish with Guamanian herbs and spices, such as achote powder and fresh cilantro, to infuse it with the flavors of the Pacific Islands. We alse have the original recipe for Ackee and Saltfish, so you can check it out.
