Treat your ingredients with care...
- Kangaroo meat — Kangaroo meat is lean and can become tough if overcooked. It is best to cook it quickly over high heat to maintain its tenderness.
- Emu sausage — Emu sausage has a rich flavor and can be quite salty. Adjust the seasoning accordingly when adding it to the pizza.
Tips & Tricks
- If kangaroo meat or emu sausage is not available, you can substitute them with lean beef or chicken sausage.
- Experiment with different native herbs and spices to customize the flavor profile of the pizza.
- For an extra smoky flavor, grill the capsicum before adding it to the pizza.
Serving advice
Serve the Australian Bush Pizza hot, straight from the oven. It pairs well with a side of fresh salad greens dressed with a light vinaigrette.
Presentation advice
To enhance the presentation, garnish the pizza with additional chopped macadamia nuts and a sprinkle of bush mint leaves. The vibrant colors of the roasted capsicum and native herbs will make the pizza visually appealing.
