Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Franconian ham — Make sure to choose a high-quality, thinly sliced Franconian ham for the best flavor and texture.
  • Franconian cheese — Opt for a semi-hard Franconian cheese, such as Tilsiter or Butterkäse, for a creamy and melty texture in the sandwich.

Tips & Tricks

  • For added flavor, you can spread mustard or mayonnaise on the inside of the bread slices before assembling the sandwich.
  • If you prefer a crispier texture, you can brush the outside of the bread slices with olive oil instead of butter before grilling.
  • Feel free to add sliced tomatoes or pickles to the sandwich for extra freshness and tanginess.
  • Serve the sandwich with a side of Franconian sauerkraut for a traditional Franconian twist.
  • Experiment with different types of Franconian cheese to find your favorite combination.
