Preparation

  1. 1.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground turmeric, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. 2.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. 3.
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil. Place the burger patties in the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  4. 4.
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns until golden brown.
  5. 5.
Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each toasted bun. Top with Sindhi-style pickles and serve with spicy Sindhi chutney on the side.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Ground beef — Choose lean ground beef for a healthier option. Make sure to cook the patties thoroughly to ensure food safety.
  • Sindhi-style pickles — If you can't find Sindhi-style pickles, you can substitute with any tangy pickle of your choice.
  • Spicy Sindhi chutney — Adjust the spiciness of the chutney according to your preference by adding more or less chili powder.

Tips & Tricks

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ground beef mixture with the spices for 30 minutes before shaping into patties.
  • Add a slice of cheese on top of the patty while it's still hot to let it melt slightly.
  • Customize your burger by adding lettuce, tomato slices, or any other toppings of your choice.
  • If you prefer a spicier burger, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the ground beef mixture.
  • Serve the burger with a side of crispy Sindhi-style papadums for an authentic Sindhi experience.
