Treat your ingredients with care...
- Tahini — Make sure to use a high-quality tahini for the best flavor and texture. Stir the tahini well before using, as it tends to separate.
Tips & Tricks
- To enhance the flavor, you can toast the tahini in a dry pan for a few minutes before adding the sugar.
- For a variation, you can add a handful of chopped dried fruits or nuts to the helva mixture before pressing it into the pan.
- If the helva becomes too thick while cooking, you can add a tablespoon of warm water to loosen the mixture.
Serving advice
Serve Bayramiç Tahin Helvası at room temperature or slightly chilled. It pairs well with a cup of Turkish tea or coffee.
