Preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

2.Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.

3.Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and dried thyme. Remove from heat and let it cool.

4.Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into small squares or circles, about 5cm (2 inches) in diameter.

5.Place a spoonful of the cooked ground beef mixture onto each pastry square. Brush the edges of the pastry with Dijon mustard.

6.Fold the pastry over the filling, sealing the edges by pressing them together with a fork.

7.Place the Beef Wellington bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

8.Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.
