Ingredients
In the original Latvian dish, Bukstiņbiezputra, the porridge is typically made with barley or wheat grains. However, in this adapted Sami version, we use a combination of grains commonly found in the Arctic region, such as oats and rye. Additionally, the original dish does not include lingonberry jam, which is a staple ingredient in Sami cuisine and adds a unique flavor profile to the porridge.
