Preparation
-
1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Gradually add warm milk and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
-
2.In a pan, heat ghee and sauté the chopped onion, minced garlic, and ginger paste until golden brown.
-
3.Add the minced meat to the pan and cook until it is browned and cooked through.
-
4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, clove powder, and salt to the meat mixture. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
-
5.Remove the pan from heat and let the meat mixture cool slightly. Once cooled, add crumbled paneer and mix well.
-
6.Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
-
7.Divide the pizza dough into equal-sized balls. Roll out each ball into a circle of about 6-8 inches in diameter.
-
8.Place a spoonful of the meat and paneer filling on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edges.
-
9.Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal the calzone.
-
10.Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the calzones until they turn golden brown on both sides. Drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
-
11.Place the fried calzones on a baking sheet and brush them with saffron-infused yogurt.
-
12.Bake the calzones in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden.
-
13.Remove from the oven and sprinkle with rose water.
-
14.Serve the Mughlai Stuffed Pizza hot and enjoy the royal flavors!
