Treat your ingredients with care...
- Lemongrass — To release the maximum flavor, bruise the lemongrass stalks with the back of a knife before finely chopping them.
- Kaffir lime leaves — Remove the tough central vein before slicing the leaves into thin strips for a more pleasant texture in the dish.
Tips & Tricks
- For a spicier kick, add more red chilies or include some sliced bird's eye chilies.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, remove the seeds from the red chilies before slicing.
- For a healthier option, you can substitute the beef with chicken or tofu.
- Adjust the sugar and fish sauce according to your taste preferences.
- To make the dish more colorful, add some sliced bell peppers or carrots during the stir-frying process.
