Ingredients

In this adaptation, we have incorporated elements of Northeastern American cuisine to give the dish a unique twist. Instead of using traditional Japanese ingredients like short-grain rice, we have substituted it with long-grain rice commonly used in American cuisine. Additionally, we have added a layer of melted cheese on top of the casserole, which is a popular addition in many American casseroles. We alse have the original recipe for Curry Doria, so you can check it out.

Treat your ingredients with care...

  • Chicken breasts — To save time, you can use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken or leftover roasted chicken instead of cooking the chicken breasts from scratch.

Tips & Tricks

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the curry sauce.
  • Feel free to customize the vegetables in the casserole based on your preferences. Bell peppers, peas, or corn can be great additions.
  • If you prefer a milder curry flavor, reduce the amount of curry powder used.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
