2.Gradually add the ice-cold water to the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

3.Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in a separate bowl and marinate them in your choice of marinade for 15 minutes.

4.Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot to 180°C (350°F).
